This year has seen many a powerful fashion collaboration, but none is so exciting as when the collaborators in question are so chalk and cheese.
I am of course talking about sportswear genius Adidas and Mary Katrantrzou, famous for her vibrant print and symbol dresses collaborating on the most exciting fashion project of AW14.
Having previously collaborated with Pharrell Williams, Topshop, Yohji Yamamoto and countless others, Adidas has set the bar high and we were certainly excited for this one!
Combining an unmistakably-Kantranzou like print with Adidas sportswear shapes and materials, this collection gives a new lease of life to the ongoing athletic trend.
With prices ranging from £60 – £330 it’s not completely out of price range either, being no more expensive than Alexander Wang x H&M’s recent collaboration.
BLOGGER’S PICK – MY FAVOURITE PIECES
This piece really stood out to me more than all of the others in the collection. The vibrancy of the colours, shape and pattern make this unmistakably Katrantrzou x Adidas for those who want to go bold and express their affiliation!
It’s so easy to stick to classic colours of black, white, navy and cream in the winter and if you’re stuck in the city, this piece is a great way to embrace urban streetwear.
The rise of the bomber jacket in recent years has been impossible to ignore. While we’ve all enjoyed the trend of vintage prints or sleek black versions, this new pattern is a great modern addition to the throng. With such a defined shape and stand out prints, you really can’t go wrong.
Running trainers have sprinted their way from the track to the urban street scene and our offices. This patterned addition gives the existing neon styles a run for their money (get it?).
Mary Katrantzou x Adidas collection is available from November 15th in store and online at Mary Katrantzou.
