Return of the Dad Hat

Step aside, flat cap, the original OG is home. Who said normcore was dead?

“The normcore trend is over, start wearing colour again” – the non-believers cried that by AW15 we’d all be dancing around in our overly-bright patterns for Autumn. The hardcore normcore crowd said no. It’s not time to throw out your adidas gazelles just yet.

The ‘dad’ cap’. What a rep to have. But, as with many other ‘dad’ fashions (Levi’s stonewashed jeans, leather jackets, lumberjack shirt…) the original baseball cap is back to take reign over the hat-game from its flat-capped cousin.

The best part? At least for now, they are CHEAP. Unlike a snapback or limited edition cap, these will set you back less than £20. The one I’m wearing below (Adidas, fyi) cost me £12, less than the cost of the flowers in my hand.
